In the summer of 1991, by arrangement with Spaightwood Galleries and Galeria Joan Prats, Lledos came to Madison Wisconsin and worked on monotypes with Wayne Taylor, Professor of Art at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, serving as Master Printer. Painting with oil on clear plexiglas, printing, allowing the sheet to dry, then putting it under the plexiglas to serve as a visible base for the next layer of paint, together they produced a series of monotypes they named the Stoughton Series in honor of Wayne's Stoughton WI workshop. Both Manel and Wayne were quite happy with the results, and so were we. We offer a survey of what still remains available.
